mselect is looking to hire a Treasury Finance Assistant to join our team in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have 1-3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or treasury operations. Fluency in English is a must, and Arabic and Kurdish are a plus.

Job Purpose
The Treasury Finance Assistant will support the Treasury team in managing daily banking operations, cash disbursements, and financial transaction processing. The role is critical to ensuring the timely and accurate execution of payments, maintaining updated financial data, and supporting treasury compliance and reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and initiate bank payments in accordance with approved procedures

  • Maintain accurate records of all cash and bank transactions

  • Review and verify supporting documentation for all payments

  • Upload payment batches and ensure alignment with internal approval workflows

  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates on payment delays, including reasons and expected resolution

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations

  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in financial transactions

  • Assist in the preparation of treasury-related reports for internal management and external auditors

  • Ensure all treasury operations are compliant with internal financial controls, organizational policies, and regulatory standards

  • Support both internal and external audits by providing required treasury documentation and information

  • Maintain a well-organized and accessible filing system for all treasury records

  • Update vendor banking details following strict verification protocols and internal controls


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or treasury operations

  • Experience working with ERP systems (experience with Odoo is an advantage)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic and Kurdish is an asset

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism

  • Familiarity with treasury operations in a multi-currency environment is preferred
