mselect is looking to hire an Operations Assistant in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, operational, or project support role is preferred. Fluency in English and Kurdish is a must, and Arabic is a plus.
Job Purpose
The Operations Assistant will support the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day administrative and operational activities across multiple projects. The role is critical to ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication with clients, and effective coordination between departments. This position plays a key part in maintaining up-to-date project data, tracking performance, and supporting smooth project execution and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a wide range of project administrative tasks, including updating cost trackers, maintaining staff timesheets, and monitoring project progress against the implementation plan
Assist the Project Manager in collecting supplier quotations, organizing procurement and project documents, and ensuring that all project data is accurate and current
Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, clarify requirements, and follow up on outstanding issues
Support the preparation and submission of monthly operational reports by gathering relevant data and ensuring timely inputs from project stakeholders
Ensure systematic and well-organized filing of all project-related records, both digital and physical, in compliance with internal policies
Coordinate timelines, resources, and task assignments to contribute to the smooth execution and delivery of project activities
Liaise with internal departments such as Finance, HR, and Logistics to collect
Requirements
1-2 years of experience in an administrative, operational, or project support role is preferred
Fluent in English and Kurdish (written and spoken); a good command of Arabic is an asset
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data entry, formulas, and reporting) and Word (document formatting and editing)
Basic understanding of accounting principles and strong attention to numerical detail
Proven ability to manage files, records, schedules, and coordinate multiple administrative tasks efficiently
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients and colleagues
Capable of multitasking and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Familiarity with project tracking tools, digital filing systems, or ERP platforms is an advantage
