mselect is looking to hire an Operations Assistant in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, operational, or project support role is preferred. Fluency in English and Kurdish is a must, and Arabic is a plus.

Job Purpose
The Operations Assistant will support the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day administrative and operational activities across multiple projects. The role is critical to ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication with clients, and effective coordination between departments. This position plays a key part in maintaining up-to-date project data, tracking performance, and supporting smooth project execution and reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a wide range of project administrative tasks, including updating cost trackers, maintaining staff timesheets, and monitoring project progress against the implementation plan

  • Assist the Project Manager in collecting supplier quotations, organizing procurement and project documents, and ensuring that all project data is accurate and current

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, clarify requirements, and follow up on outstanding issues

  • Support the preparation and submission of monthly operational reports by gathering relevant data and ensuring timely inputs from project stakeholders

  • Ensure systematic and well-organized filing of all project-related records, both digital and physical, in compliance with internal policies

  • Coordinate timelines, resources, and task assignments to contribute to the smooth execution and delivery of project activities

  • Liaise with internal departments such as Finance, HR, and Logistics to collect


Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, operational, or project support role is preferred

  • Fluent in English and Kurdish (written and spoken); a good command of Arabic is an asset

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data entry, formulas, and reporting) and Word (document formatting and editing)

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and strong attention to numerical detail

  • Proven ability to manage files, records, schedules, and coordinate multiple administrative tasks efficiently

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients and colleagues

  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  • Familiarity with project tracking tools, digital filing systems, or ERP platforms is an advantage
