mselect is looking to hire an Accountant in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have 1–2 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role. Fluency in English is a must; proficiency in Arabic and Kurdish is an advantage.

Job Summary
The Accountant will play a key role in managing customer accounts and ensuring the accurate processing of receivables. This role involves resolving billing issues, monitoring collections, and maintaining precise financial records. The Accountant will also liaise with clients to build strong relationships, communicate effectively in English, and ensure timely and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner

  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up with clients for payment

  • Process incoming payments and reconcile accounts receivable ledger

  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their accounts and payments

  • Address and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

  • Implement and manage effective collection strategies to reduce outstanding receivables

  • Prepare regular reports on account status and receivables ageing

  • Assist in the month-end closing and financial reporting processes

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

  • Maintain thorough documentation of all accounts receivable activities

  • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role

  • Fluent in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Odoo ERP, is a plus

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients

  • Effective negotiation skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations

  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
