Senior Facilities Manager

mselect is looking to hire a Senior Facilities Manager for a Facilities Management company in Dubai, UAE. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of managerial and/or technical delivery experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Facilities Manager. The job holder will be responsible for safe, excellent, compliant and profitable delivery for FM contracts. The role will be expected to work with the Director to develop strong local and strategic customer relationships; to achieve contract organic growth, improved customer satisfaction, sustainable business and the delivery of services in line with the customer’s expectations and maintaining a high profile and positive image for the business. This is an active and visible role requiring the role holder to maintain a high profile and positive image for the company with an ability to build strong internal and external relationships, sound commercial/supplier management skills and an excellent FM operational capability. The Senior Facilities Manager will be expected to positively contribute to the strategic direction, performance, growth and profitability of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery of Facilities Management Contracts safely, profitably and in accordance with contractual and statutory requirements (DM rules)
  • Establish Service Level Agreements and KPI’s; formally reporting them to the customer and the operational team by contractual and business requirements
  • To lead contract delivery teams in a consistent manner and in accordance with operating procedures established by the Centre of Excellence
  • Challenge performance metrics; evaluate existing performance and establish whether contractual obligations are being met
  • Establish contract-specific continuous improvement strategies which promote efficiency, energy reduction and best practices
  • Champion the implementation and support the use of CAFM on every contract, and use it to report proactive and reactive performance
  • To manage excellent relationships with clients, our suppliers and other partners
  • Act as a role model for people management processes, ensuring they are followed, setting objectives, actively managing performance and developing the skills of the team
  • Lead the development and retention of staff; always challenging levels of resources to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Establish contract-specific training plans to ensure contract personnel are trained in accordance with the competency matrix
  • To set objectives for direct reports and renew bi-monthly. Ensure the same approach and mechanisms for all staff within the area of responsibility
  • Support the development of business-wide FM initiatives, including contract renewals and cost reduction strategies, contract management plan and customer improvement plan
  • Work with bid teams to support appropriate opportunities

Requirements
  • Bachelors in engineering with specialization in Mechanical/Electrical preferred
  • More than 5 years of managerial and/or technical delivery experience
  • Experience in managing high-end mixed residential and commercial projects would be an advantage
  • Experience in facilities management service delivery to a broad range of customers
  • A successful track record of managing multiple FM contracts simultaneously
  • Knowledge and understanding of Dubai Municipality legislation
  • Member of a Professional Body progressing to Chartered Status plus a minimum Intermediate Level qualification
  • Awareness of market trends, legislation, industry and best practices in Facilities Management
