Job Purpose
The Business Development Director shall be the principal point of contact for relationship management with new and existing contacts, The role shall encompass Leadership, management, and mentoring skills supported by bespoke Strategic planning skills in the FM and real estate sector. The BDD will be entrusted to present the core skills and benefits of using companies, so the Ability to communicate accessibly and concisely about products or services to third and internal parties is a prerequisite. Effective organizational and Negotiation skills are a must and shall be deployed across the breadth of services offered. Familiarity with technology and platforms used in the FM sector, and using such knowledge for lead generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the BD with new and current clients
- Manage the tender responses
- Incorporate any available analysis of operational bids for benchmarking and lessons learnt requirements
- Review the RFP(s) with the team and identify opportunities for cost savings, value adds, pros and cons and process improvements
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, HR and ensure a one-team philosophy
- Utilize advanced Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills to create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards
- Adherence to the DOA
- Ensure bids are easy-to-read, understandable, bespoke and exact
- Generate new business leads and market opportunities
- Own and manage relationships with clients to ensure growth within account expansion
- Generate an up-to-date client/prospect database
- Conduct business development activities
- Manage and deliver bid development - bid writing, compilation of fees, bid presentation
Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline — FM or real estate related would be beneficial
- 5+ years of post-graduate experience in procurement
- Excellent communication in English (essential)
- MS Word, Power BI, PowerPoint — Intermediate to advanced
- Excellent bid writing skills
- FM industry — Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the rest of the UAE plus GCC, especially KSA
- Solid presentation skills

- Team player and self-starter, motivated to go beyond the minimum requirement
