In February of this year, mselect was honoured to be awarded the Training and Capacity Building Consultancy with Triangle Organisation, an initiative aimed at strengthening the resilience of young men and women in Kirkuk Governorate.
Securing the Training and Capacity Building Consultancy with Triangle Organisation was a recognition of mselect's expertise and commitment in the field. Through this collaborative effort, we've delivered a total of six comprehensive courses, equipping 117 participants with essential skills. These courses covered a wide range of topics, including Life Skills and Citizenship Education Training, Project Cycle Management, Adolescent Girls Toolkit, Prevention of Violent Extremism (PVE), Equality, Social Inclusion, Conflict Sensitivity, and Advanced Report Writing.
mselect prioritised interactive learning methodologies, offering participants the chance to collaborate, problem-solve, and apply theoretical concepts in practical scenarios, thereby reinforcing learning and fostering critical thinking, communication skills, and teamwork—essential competencies for success in today's dynamic world.
Beyond individual empowerment, the true significance lies in the specific project objective: strengthening the resilience of young men and women, as well as the community as a whole. With the support of local institutions and civil society actors, the aim was to prevent and counter violent extremism while fostering social cohesion through personal, social, and economic reintegration in Kirkuk.
