mselect is looking to hire an AR Accountant for a consultancy client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting is requested. Fluency in English is a must.

Role Synopsys
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and possess excellent communication skills to effectively manage customer accounts, resolve billing issues, and ensure timely collections. This role requires a proactive individual who can maintain strong relationships with clients while ensuring accurate and efficient processing of receivables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up with clients for payment.
  • Process incoming payments and reconcile accounts receivable ledger.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their accounts and payments.
  • Address and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
  • Implement and manage effective collection strategies to reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Conduct credit checks on new clients and set appropriate credit limits.
  • Prepare regular reports on account status and receivables aging.
  • Analyze trends in receivables and provide insights to improve cash flow.
  • Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all accounts receivable activities.
  • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.


Key Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable or similar role.
  • Fluent in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
