mselect is looking to hire a Wells Contract Engineer for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
The wells contract engineer is part of the Wells CP Team and will carry out a variety of duties within Wells starting from the first stage of planning/preparation to the final stage of delivery and payment.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Participate in arranging and attending meetings related to Wells contracts matters
  • Distribute signed contracts and purchase orders to the relevant parties and retain copies
  • Maintains Procurement Document files to ensure all documents are in their proper files. Includes receiving, indexing, filing, retrieving, and returning documents to their proper filing index
  • Interact with the team Follows up on contract/PO, including preparing contract renewal reminders, amendments, cancellations, extensions, and claims; obtaining management's approval and keeping current files for all contracts
  • Participate in supporting duties on a defined timely basis or upon request such as generating reports related to departmental activities, compiling statistics, and sharing it per the applicable policies
  • Identify missing files and documents and report to the supervisor
  • Maintain electronic records of wells procurement documents, ensure all electronic/scanned documents are organized properly, accessible to the team members/stakeholders, and up-to-date trackers
  • Cooperate with the team in all CP matters and agreements such as purchase orders delivery status and distribution of delivery updates/trackers to the appropriate individuals
  • Participate in all contract aspects when required within the team, contractors, and the client following the policies

Qualifications
  • Degree in Commerce or Business Administration or English Language or Engineering Discipline

Experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Language Proficiency, and Software Skills
  • Upper Intermediate English level with good communication skills (verbal /written)
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Skills
  • Good team player, good communicator, delivery-focused, and able to work independently within the team

Rotation: 14 Days On/ 14 Days Off
