mselect is hiring a Turnaround Logistics Coordinator for a major international oil and gas operator in Qatar. Candidates must possess a diploma in Engineering or a similar qualification, with a minimum of 2 years experience in a Turnaround Logistics Coordinator role in maintenance planning, preferably within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery environments. Fluency in English is a must.

Job Objective
The goal is to ensure seamless coordination of resources, timely delivery of materials, and adherence to project timelines. Candidates with strong technical knowledge, communication abilities, and proficiency in the SAP-MM Module are encouraged to apply, as they will play a pivotal role in optimizing logistical operations and contributing to the successful execution of turnaround projects. This position involves a 6-day, 10-hour work pattern from the start date until the end of September 2024, transitioning to a 12-hour, 6-day schedule following MTA standard work practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Supply Chain Coordinator Led – turnaround & Projects
  • Define plant boundaries and identify suitable locations for temporary facilities, laydowns, material storage, vehicle parking, and staging areas
  • Conduct inspections of accommodation and facilities as required for the turnaround
  • Liaise with inter-departmental staff and contractors regarding turnaround logistics and turnaround contracts
  • Actively participate in monitoring and coordinating work activities
  • Assist in forecasting and provide input on section budget requirements based on prevailing market costs
  • Coordinate and facilitate contractor or supplier site visits, mobilization, and demobilization
  • Assist in developing Scope of Work (SOW), preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and making recommendations
  • Monitor and verify warehouse Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and Purchase Contracts (PCs) status and progress, and prepare reports accordingly
  • Coordinate and prepare turnaround laydown areas, and contribute input for the generation of the turnaround book
  • Monitor and evaluate contractor performance according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Key Requirements
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Turnaround Logistics Coordinator role within maintenance planning, preferably in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery environments
  • Demonstrated experience in logistic turnarounds, shutdown maintenance, and contracts
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest technology developments in logistics and contracts
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and materials certificates
  • Familiarity with the SAP-MM Module is preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Engineering or relevant field
