MSELECT is looking to hire a Supply Chain Superintendent for an industrial and distribution group in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in materials control and commercial banking. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.
Role Purpose
Plan, execute, control, and monitor the material movement with the objective of Supplying the demand across multiple territories, including liaising with suppliers, intermediaries and third-party service providers to ensure that company has the capabilities to deliver its Business Plan and ensure timely availability of materials in the right quantities

Key responsibilities
Inventory Management
Owns MRP process and takes decisions on quantities to buy and its timings, across multiple sites and contract Packers
Develop and implement inbound Shipment tracking procedures
Review weekly production plan with Central planner and ensure material supply continuity
Target zero material aging, coordinate among material controllers in different sites proactively and initiate stock rotation wherever applicable
Review continual demand and initiate the differential activities aided by procurement
Projections of imports for Cash flow & Insurance planning

Maintain lean inventory without compromising on Customer service

Review aging of stocks to minimize SLOB with actions including requiring contract amendments, cancellations, rotations

Qualification, Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree
5 Years of previous experience in Materials control and Commercial Banking
Previous experience in similar function preferably at a beverage manufacturing company / FMCG
Good Interpersonal skills and ability to work under challenging circumstances with multicultural team
Strong systems skills and good ERP/computer skills
Understanding of cross-cultural / global issues
Familiarity with Import / Export procedures and documentations
Good knowledge of port operations & related banking activities viz Opening of L/C’s, CAD clearance etc.
