JOB OBJECTIVE
The Senior Engineer Projects & MOC is responsible for the following but not limited to:
- All O&M related projects, modifications and civils works, which will include:
- Engineering
- Schedule & Cost Control
- Resources
- Change Management
- Risk Management
- Project Kick-Offs / Seamless Transition through the project phases
- Effective project reviews
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Lessons Learned
- Information Management
- Supply chain / Subcontracts Management
- Quality Management
- Ensure Right Size Solutions are identified whilst keeping cost, schedule and quality in mind and an understanding of the following concept; Select, Define and Execute.
- Development of conceptual designs in the form of: approved key drawings; equipment and materials list; any calculations and specifications required to produce level 3 schedule and cost estimates or order long lead items, and studies to establish that the design is inherently safe
- Challenge solutions to ensure maximum value for company
- Manage either internally or by the utilization of Contractors the Detailed Design Phase, whereby taking the FEED design requirements and converting them into construction work packages
- Responsible for the Construction, Completion and Commissioning of applicable work scopes under responsibility
- Responsible for Project Close-Out
- Responsible for developing the Project Execution Philosophy
- Undertake site visits to installations in order to create, review designs and liaise with engineering, operations, maintenance, civils and act as liaison with relevant discipline SME’s and or Contractors.
- Identify any specialist vendor support, tools and equipment required to implement scope.
- Surveys and generation of reports where required.
- Assist with engineering, procurement and construction input to contractual and bid preparation
- Ensure coordination of cost estimates and schedule
- Ensure execution of work according to the agreed schedule and budgets
- Delivery of Project and Contract KPIs
- Coordination and interface management with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide input to project activities to align budget, scope, time schedule and quality
- Ensure robust project reporting routines are in place
- Responsible for the handover of equipment data for entry into the CMMS, through MOC process

- Preparing and presenting site inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks

- Manage the activities and work performed by own team, contractors and suppliers and ensure that work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner
- Build good relationships with key stakeholders and support field coordination
- Recommend training and development for team members to build capability
- Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of employees
- Develop overview of contractor’s strength and weaknesses and intervene as and when required exercising contractual rights

- Ensure compliance with corporate requirements on adherence to policies, procedures and instructions within own area related to all relevant regulatory directives to promote a safe and risk-free environment

- Key decisions having significant impact on Production are referred to the Operations Engineering Section Head for approval before implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Higher education in Engineering or equivalent / Project Management
- Proven experience in field-based project management, engineering, fabrication and construction roles within the oil and gas industry
- Professional Accreditation such as APM Certified or working towards Certification
Over 10 years’ experience in oil field projects, and 5 years’ projects experience.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Good knowledge of project management, engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation and completions
- Working knowledge of project and construction activities
- Ability to review engineering design drawings
- Ability to visit facilities and discuss with team members and contractors up and coming scopes of work
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task whilst also understanding the need to prioritize
- Strong organizational skills and highly structured
- Proven modification project knowledge within the oil and gas industry.
- Good compute skills, with working knowledge of using CAD, planning tools such MS Project and P6 software
- Working knowledge of SAP PM and SAP MM.
- Good English written and oral communications and presentation skills.
