Job Purpose:
- Responsible for carrying FM Greenery construction and maintenance and day to day oversight of Facilities management service providers in performance of greenery maintenance and greenery projects such as but not limited to:
- Planting
- Pruning and shaping
- Trimming
- Cultivating
- Seasonal Fertilizing, spraying, transplanting
- Irrigation operation and irrigation system installation
- Provide visible HSE leadership and management of local HSE arrangements to deliver Goal Zero for facilities and area operations
- Develop and implement mid to long term greenery and landscaping solution to meet COMPANY business objectives for greenery areas
- Be the “go to” subject matter expert in the oil field for all Facilities Management Greenery Maintenance and other functional related matters
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct inspections of landscaping and irrigation projects to ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and local regulations
- Review project documents, including blueprints, drawings, and specifications, to understand project requirements and scope
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of landscaping and irrigation projects, identifying any issues or areas of concern
- Perform site visits to assess the quality of work, including the installation of plants, trees, shrubs, irrigation systems, and other landscape features
- Conduct tests and measurements to ensure proper functioning of irrigation systems, including water pressure, flow rates, and distribution uniformity
- Verify that irrigation systems are designed and installed in accordance with industry best practices and local water conservation guidelines
- Identify and document any deficiencies or non-compliance issues, and provide recommendations for corrective actions
- Communicate and collaborate with project stakeholders, including contractors, designers, and clients, to address concerns and ensure project success
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and any necessary documentation for compliance purposes
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to landscaping and irrigation
Qualification & Training Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or technical training in landscaping and irrigation is preferred
- Proven experience as a landscaping or irrigation inspector, or in a similar role within the construction or landscaping industry
- Strong knowledge of landscaping principles, irrigation systems, and horticulture practices
- Familiarity with local regulations and codes related to landscaping and irrigation
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and address issues proactively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with various stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills, including the use of inspection software and Microsoft Office applications
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience as landscaping irrigation inspector and project implementation to include maintenance of landscaping and greenery projects
Software and Language:
- Excel – Intermediate
- Word – Intermediate
- Power Point - Intermediate
- Arabic (Native) and English to include experience in Middle East is a plus
