mselect is looking for an IT Asset Management Supervisor for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.


Job purpose
The main focus for this position will be responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of IT Asset and technology-related hardware within MOF by ensuring that technology assets are, tracked, received, recovered, deployed, and retired in a controlled manner as well as fulfil requests for ordering hardware\software. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with MOF standers.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead IT asset team to improve the asset data, conduct research, data gathering, complete and up-to-date documentation and analysis to expand the accuracy and efficiency of the IT Inventory System
  • Deliver on service requests through the request fulfilment process of the OA application and ensure that the IT Inventory System is used effectively and efficiently
  • Contribute to and deliver improvements that support the continuous improvement of the automation functions and the IT Inventory System, adopting ITIL best practices where possible
  • Working as an effective team player, taking a hands-on approach to resolving IT tickets and OA requests, ranging in type and complexity and providing technical advice/guidance to the IT Support team as appropriate
  • Work with IT Asset team to maintain a list of spare inventories and Provide IT asset information and assistance to various parts of the organization as necessary
  • Receive IT equipment delivered to IT dept., including logging received equipment, verify their contents, ensure they match purchase order, storing it securely, conducting periodic inventories and logging distribution
  • Manage the movement of equipment between locations/ teams including generating shipping labels and researching shipments as needed. As well as maintains and develops process for check in and check out of loaned equipment
  • Maintain and manage stockrooms, submits order requests for IT items and accessories to maintain stockroom inventory levels UpToDate
  • Conduct inventory and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly asset reports
  • Develop written plans and implements processes, procedures and systems for tracking and analysing software, hardware, and equipment from requisition through retirement to support the asset management lifecycle
  • Secure disposal of IT equipment – Execute the secure disposal of IT equipment through MOF roles and oversees the equipment salvage and donation process
  • Serve as IT hardware asset management subject matter expert to plan and implement IT hardware asset life cycle strategy; advise Procurement and IT Operations in procurement strategies for IT hardware acquisition
  • Manage the lifecycle of Hardware and Software Assets ensuring that reviews are scheduled in advance of End of Life (EoL), expiry or renewal so that proactive action can be taken on refreshes, renewals, changes, or terminations

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
  • Technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer engineering/Electronics or equivalent)
  • Experience on researching and analysing policies, rules, or regulations; data management and reporting, and/or business process analyses
  • Advanced Excel Skills and Data Analysis skillset preferred
  • Management experience or experience leading a small team
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge OS mainly Win 10,11 and hardware level support
  • Knowledge of IT standards, processes and policies
  • Clear commitment to Goal Zero and proven HSSE track record
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is important
  • Ability to deal with multiple, often conflicting, goals and priorities
  • Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills
  • Fixability to work on shift, this includes weekend and able to work under pressure
Experience:
  • Must have 5+ years’ hands-on IT Asset Management and IT Support experience
