mselect is looking to hire a Head of Human Resources for a consultancy client in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a managerial position. Fluency in English and Kurdish is a must, and Arabic is a plus.

JOB OVERVIEW
As the head of the Human Resources department, you will oversee Human Resources activities of the newly established company, throughout the employees’ lifecycle, including those of the Human Resources department, with a thorough understanding of Human Resources policies and procedures. The bulk of the role will involve employee orientations, benefits administration, compensation, rewards, and conflict resolution. You should be able to connect easily with people with a detail-oriented mindset. Your duties will also involve managing activities such as role design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development and talent management.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise Human Resources activities by managing employees during their complete life cycle including talent acquisition, onboarding, and talent management processes for all departments
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the Human Resources team, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support in all Human Resources-related matters
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current talent needs and recruiting
  • Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, vacation, sick leave etc.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, and prepare employees for their assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
  • Ensure compliance with local Human Resources regulations
  • Identify and recommend improvements to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale building
  • Develop and refine employee standards and procedures

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Previous Experience in Year and Field: +5 years of experience in Human Resources management, with a proven track record in a leadership role
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Kurdish and English – Fluency in Arabic is a plus
  • Other Skills:
    • Strong understanding of national laws related to Human Resources
    • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills and interpersonal skills
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Knowledge of Human Resources systems and databases

Rotation:
  • 5 days per week and 8 hours per day (Starting from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm)
