mselect is looking to hire a Head of HR for an IT client in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. English and Arabic fluency is a must.

Job Summary
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high work ethic, excellent communication skills, knowledge of labour regulations and HR practices, strategic thinking abilities, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. The exceptional Head of HR should improve HR processes, implement strategies that support business growth, improve employee retention, strengthen relations between staff and employers, manage job satisfaction, attract the best recruits, and promote the organization's values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational goals
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate selection, and onboarding
  • Manage compensation programs to ensure competitiveness in the market and equity among employees
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
  • Take a lead role in transforming and strengthening the organisational culture, ensuring that the company values and approach are displayed
  • Motivating and supporting current staff
  • Maintaining staff records
  • Identifying staffing needs and raising engagement
  • Designing and directing training programs

Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience in HR
  • Experience in IT related industry is a plus
  • Proven track record of delivering HR programs and services in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and policies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong Knowledge of labour laws and regulations
  • Budget management experience
