mselect is looking to hire a Data Management Officer for a consultancy client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience in data or document management. Fluency in Kurdish and English is a must, Arabic is a plus.

Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Management Officer to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be to support data analysis, document control, and data entry functions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of information, contributing to the smooth operation of the directorate’s activities. Additionally, there will be a focus on continuously enhancing reporting skills and data presentation.

Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis:
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analysing data related to departmental functions
  • Generate reports and summaries to support decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with team members to interpret data and provide insights
Document Control:
  • Manage document flow, ensuring all records are properly filed, archived, and easily retrievable
  • Maintain version control of documents and ensure compliance with organizational standards
  • Ensure timely updates and management of important contracts, agreements, and other critical documents
Data Entry:
  • Input data into databases and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform regular data quality checks to maintain the integrity of information systems
  • Update and manage digital files and records
Administrative Support:
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining a calendar for the directorate
  • Help track deadlines, timelines, and key project milestones
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure smooth operations of the department

Confidentiality & Data Management
  • Confidentiality: Employees in this role are expected to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, including but not limited to customer data, proprietary information, and personal employee information This includes adhering to policies and procedures regarding the handling, storage, and dissemination of confidential information
  • Data Management: Responsible for the proper handling and management of data in accordance with policies and relevant regulations. This includes ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security measures are always maintained. Duties may include data entry, data processing, data analysis, and data reporting as required by the role
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to confidentiality and data management. This includes staying informed about updates to relevant regulations and participating in training programs as necessary to maintain compliance
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and report any potential risks or breaches related to confidentiality or data security promptly. Take appropriate measures to mitigate risks and prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of sensitive information
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, departments, and stakeholders to ensure consistent adherence to confidentiality and data management practices across the organization. This may involve providing guidance, training, or support to colleagues as needed
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to enhance confidentiality and data management processes and procedures. Participate in discussions and initiatives aimed at improving data security, privacy practices, and overall compliance within the organization

Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant field
  • 1-2 years of experience in data or document management
  • Fluent in Kurdish and English, Arabic is a plus
