mselect is looking for an Audit Manager for a consultancy client in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in leading engagement, taxation, and providing financial advice, with 2 years in a managerial role. Fluency in English is a must.

Job Description
The Audit Manager is responsible to lead and deal with the audit team and is responsible for technical quality and involvement as well as and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage auditors’ teams in order to provide Moore’s clients with a high-quality level of assurance relating to the evaluation of their operating controls, guidelines and processes, and to ensure that their controls are adequate, functional and in adherence to the industry standards, regulatory requirements and corporate policies
  • Maintain high quality and professional standards
  • Set-up the yearly audit hours number for each client according to agreements (i.e. Planner)
  • Assign the Client’s audit work requests to the teams based on the client’s segments and the team workload
  • Ensure that client’s commitments are well respected and that an audit file has been filed for each client
  • Monitor the efficiency and profitability of the audit teams and take all necessary measures in order to improve them
  • Report the yearly and monthly work planning to the Partner
  • Monitor and Report on monthly basis the work in progress report
  • Perform a timely and thoroughly review of working papers and reports, ensuring that all significant accounting, auditing, compliance, disclosures and reporting matters have been identified
  • Use experience in performing risk assessments, tax planning engagement and development of an overall approach
  • Complete all the needed files and requirements of Moore Global including the NRP and IMP
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands and tasks
  • Complete engagement work on a timely basis, efficiently monitoring and controlling all time spent on engagements
  • Ensures that staff is aware of and follow the audit policies, procedures and methodologies
  • Manages staff as assigned, assisting them with mentoring, goal setting, reviewing and discussing career path adjustments

Qualification
  • Accounting degree or equivalent
  • Auditing Certificate (Preferably international CPA or ACCA/CA)
  • Fluent English Skills
  • Knowledge of International Standards on Auditing as well as the generally accepted accounting practices and principles
  • Preferably experience of Auditing computer applications (CaseWare)
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in the mid-tier Audit Firm in the audit department with experience in leading engagement, taxation, and providing financial advice and 2 years’ experience in managerial role as Assistant Manager or Manager
