mselect is looking to hire an Electrical Superintendent for an international oil and gas operator in Duhok. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas field. Fluency in English and Kurdish is a must.
Job Purpose/ Responsibilities and Key Objectives
- To Work with the Site Construction Team to implement electrical construction work scopes associated with ongoing development projects.
- Works are currently limited to 400V/230V; 50Hz; 3000A systems.
- Future systems will generate and distribute at 11kV so experience at medium voltage level is an advantage.
- Read and understand electrical content of engineering work packs Including but not limited to.
- Load Lists
- Single Line diagrams
- Protection Settings
- Control Schematics
- Cable Schedules
- Cable Routing drawings
- Cable Termination drawings
- Supervise and have a hands-on involvement in executing these work scopes
- Installation of electrical switchgear and motor starters
- Installation of Cable support systems
- Pulling in and Cleating cables
- Glanding and Terminating cables
- Installation of Earthing systems
- Installation of Lighting systems
- Oversee / Execute Testing routines and ensure Test Sheets (ITRs) are completed for all electrical cabling and equipment.
- Populate QA/QC packs for handover.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Electrical Engineering degree.
- Vocational certification.
- Understanding of the requirement of Hazardous Area installations.
- Excellent level in Reading and Writing English language capabilities.
