Procurement Manager

mselect is looking to hire a Procurement Manager for a Facilities Management company in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the relevant field. Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for preparing, amending and implementing procurement procedures in a timely manner
  • Meet with vendors and compare prices and quality to identify and appoint the best vendor for different products
  • Identify the requirements for each project and provide estimated costs to the finance department for approval of expenses
  • Obtain Vendor Pre-qualification documents containing their track record, list of items and their specification ranges, quality status, etc, and obtain Management approval after their review
  • Prepare and keep the approved vendor list
  • Through the standard requisition form, receive the requisition, inspection/testing requirements, and delivery schedule from the authorised requisitioner
  • Check and verify the bid control sheet, bid evaluation tables before approval
  • After finalisation of all terms and conditions, place the purchase order, enclosing all relevant agreed requirements and recommend for management approval
  • Supervision of purchase expediting work by ensuring all necessary insurances required are in place through the Insurance Department
  • Initiate actions to identify and recommend to the CEO the disposal of all scrap materials
  • Follow Company Quality & HSE requirements as far as applicable to his job function
  • Interaction with requisitioner, stores, accounts, HR, Operations, Projects for their respective actions on the Procurement Items
  • To deal with all vendors/ suppliers on all Procurement matters upon receipt of the material in the stores, check for fulfilment of all the requirements and send the invoice to accounts for further processing
  • Maintain a healthy & safe environment at the workplace
  • Follow the rules and regulations according to the company policy

Occupational and Workplace Health and Safety Responsibilities
In addition to all job-specific responsibilities, all employees are required to adhere to all clients’ health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, practices, and relevant legal and statutory health, safety and environmental requirements and obligations. All employees are personally responsible for familiarising themselves with these policies, procedures, practices, updates, etc. HSE department regularly updates existing and introduces new policies, procedures, and practices, and each employee is personally responsible for ensuring they stay updated and compliant with all such updates and new additions.

Information Security Responsibilities
  • Comply with Information Security Policies
  • Be aware of and fulfil their information security responsibilities
  • Ensure whoever handles sensitive company information has taken the Security Awareness Training
  • Know how to report a security incident (to IT ServiceDesk or InfoSec)
  • Do not disable his/her OS firewall and/or Antivirus
  • Restrict use to authorised purposes, protect access accounts, privileges and associated passwords
  • Accept accountability of his/her user accounts, and maintain confidentiality

Requirements
  • The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the relevant field
  • Good knowledge of supplier sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
