MSELECT is looking to hire a Commissioning Security Engineer for a networking and security solutions client in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years previous experience in a security role. English and Arabic fluency is a must.

Job Objective
As a member of the security installation team, you will be responsible for undertaking various pre-planned and reactive maintenance tasks and new installation works encompassing either, CCTV, Access Control, Security Systems equipment. You must demonstrate a knowledge of Security System British/EN Standard and knowledge of NSI Standards. You will be required to participate in the company’s on call rota.
You will take responsibility for all assigned projects from commencement to completion. You will complete these projects in a manner that exceeds our customers’ expectations and ensures that our work adheres to all company policies and procedure. You will be required to work on several projects and have the ability to multi task and plan critical requests from Clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, servicing / maintenance, testing, commissioning of Intruder Alarm Systems – IP Surveillance Systems and Access Control Systems or related equipment, following drawing of electrical layouts and building plans in accordance with NSI and relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
  • Installation, servicing / maintenance, testing of Disabled Refuge, Public Address, Call System & Induction Loops in accordance with relevant British Standard and other relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
  • Providing a quality installation in the most methodical and efficient manner, including the ability to digest detailed scope of works and working drawings.
  • Liaising with ARC (Alarm receiving centres)
  • Production of high-quality commissioning and handover documentation and as fit drawings.
  • Maintaining safe work environment at all times and have a good understanding of Health and Safety i.e. Method, Risk assessments, safe working procedures etc.
  • Client training and demonstration of systems to explain the systems working and functionality.
  • Responding to out of hours service calls.


REQUIREMENTS
Essential Technical Competencies

  • Demonstrate at least 4 years previous experience in a Security role.
  • Demonstrate a general knowledge of all Security Systems.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Sound administration skills with an understanding of the importance of paperwork and the accuracy and timeliness of submission of same.
  • Disclosure Check (DBS).
  • Must be willing to work away

Desirable Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of IP Systems / Networking is preferable
  • Knowledge of any of the following Intruder Alarms, Access control, CCTV and Intercom using a range of equipment including: Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom , Bosch, Hikvision
  • Manufacturers training for any of the following: Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom , Bosch, Hikvision
