Key Responsibilities
- Responsible, and accountable for the day-to-day Construction/execution of Electrical and Instrumentation aspects of the BH Life Extension Project to ensure they are constructed in accordance with the approved Scope of Work, approved drawings, engineering design and safety, environment and standards & specifications
- Act as an interface between assistant manager, Construction, Asset Holder, Contractor, and Construction Supervisors Provide guidance to E&I and Telecom construction supervisors and Contractor to ensure that all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved method statements complying with project schedule, quality and HSE requirements
- Act as site representative to manage E&I scope in fabrication yards, offshore installation and hook-up barges, Brownfield modifications workboats etc. to monitor, control and report project progress relevant to E&I and Telecom discipline
- The position is predominantly focused on Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom and shall have the capability and previous proven EPC project experience as Client representative managing the E&I construction scope of the project
- Participate in all engineering workshops during FEED and EPIC
- Manage and guide the contractor during engineering review, comment and approve contractor deliverables in PDMS
- Attend engineering workshops such as Constructability Review, SIMOPS, Schedule Risk Analysis, 3D Model Reviews, HAZOP, and HAZDEM and provide inputs to ensure that these workshops comply with requirements
- Ensure the Contractor executes the fabrication, mechanical completion, load etc. onshore and hook-up and brownfield modification offshore are in accordance with requirements
- Monitor, control and report Contractor’s performance, man-power deployment, plant and equipment movements, construction slippages etc.
- Liaise with senior discipline engineers through all phases of the project for all construction-related matters including inputs during the detailed engineering and procurement stages
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction progress reports for assigned projects and verify contractor’s progress statements for accuracy

- Coordinate the MCC walk-through, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with contractors, vendors and end users
- Maintain a daily record of progress noting special comments Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor and control of work permits to ensure that contractor compliance with conditions fixed on consolidated work permits
- Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to offshore sites following the contract award
- Interact and interface with other contractors, projects, and departments regularly to identify and resolve all construction-related matters
- Participate in weekly and monthly HSE walkthroughs and monthly HSE audits
- Support in the development of new standards, specifications, guidelines etc. and support enhancement of existing corporate documents
Requirements
- BSc in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation, (or) Petroleum Engineering in Electrical & Instrumentation discipline or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction
- Candidate should have a minimum of 12 years overall experience in supervising fabrication yard, offshore installation, onshore based Projects, construction of oil and gas production/wellhead platform topside and Jacket structures including construction work and material inspection, review and approval of construction method statements, load-out activities
- Candidate must have robust experience in FEED and EPIC projects with a strong capability to review/approve contractor deliverables
- Computer literate Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of English Language (oral and written)
- Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness
- Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings
- Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions
- Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce
