Sales Executive

mselect is looking to hire a Sales Executive for a major travel and tourism client in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of sales and customer service experience in the travel and tourism industry and be fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.

JOB PURPOSE
To promote and sell the complete range of company products and ensure that the company receives maximum exposure in the marketplace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To effectively promote the sale of company products and services to the up-market clientele, government accounts, individuals of high net worth and key corporate houses and MNC’s in Abu Dhabi
  • To convert the sales leads and market potential into materialized business through sales visits, presentations and promotions thereby ensuring that the benefits of the products are fully understood and appreciated and revenue targets achieved as per the budgets
  • To monitor competitor activity and to keep abreast with market conditions, reporting opportunities / threats so that necessary action can be considered and taken by Management
  • To create and maintain a customer database and prepare daily activity reports for Management
  • To build and maintain a healthy and mutually beneficial relationship with both the customers and the principal ensuring that the highest level of customer service is provided
  • Compile sales and business development plans to include SMART objective setting and the co-ordination of effective implementation through a focused sales effort ensuring all sales and marketing activities generate required bottom line results
  • To co-ordinate with principal on all distribution related issues and implement all necessary sales and business development tasks as required to be performed as directed by management
  • To generate sales reports both pre and post sales calls and ensure that all the market information and opportunity are given to management with recommendations
  • To deliver sales targets and be accountable for generating the required sales from the internal and external customers
  • To co-ordinate with respective departments and business units and ensure all the sales and business plans are executed in a timely manner within budgets as per management requirements
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned by management from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Advanced level education or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years sales and customer service experience in the travel / tourism industry with preference in handling VIP’s and premium travelers
  • A Thorough knowledge of Geography, travel and the local market
  • Standard fares and ticketing knowledge will be preferable
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential
  • The ability to communicate in Arabic (both written and verbal) would be an advantage
