Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE management systems in accordance with ISO standards (ISO 9001 14001, 45001)
- Monitor and ensure compliance with national and international maritime, port, and environmental regulations
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented
- Provide QHSE training and awareness programs for all levels of staff and contractors
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments of terminal operations, vessels, and facilities
- Liaise with port authorities, shipping lines, and regulatory bodies on QHSE matters
- Lead emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills and crisis management exercises
- Analyze safety performance data and present regular QHSE performance reports to senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 8–10 years of QHSE experience, with at least 5 years in ports or container terminal operations
- Strong knowledge of port safety standards, IMO/ISPS codes, and terminal risk management practices
- Certified in ISO systems (Lead Auditor preferred)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
