MSELECT is looking to hire a Program Manager for a consultancy client in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in development outside government institutions. English, Kurdish and Arabic fluency is a must.
Objective
The Program Manager is accountable for the successful implementation of all recommended modifications, as well as the coordination and oversight of all projects carried out within the programs. He/she works under the supervision of the Secretary-General and in collaboration with the Organization's Programs Directorate and other departments.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Program Management
- Guide the progress of plans, from mapping and formulation to consultation.
- Administer the process of implementing plans, preparing budgets and reports.
- Prepare and present technical advice and guidance on the management and sustainability of partnerships.
- Participate in the recruitment process of new managers and officers for projects.
Supervise, Monitor and Report On Programs
- Ensuring that all projects are monitored, reviewed and evaluated.
- Establish a monitoring system to track progress on outcomes and measures.
- Review and write monthly, seasonal and donor reports.
- Manage the data collection process for reports.
Human Resource Management and Program Funding
- Monitoring the budget.
- Ensure optimal use of resources in accordance with applicable government and donor procedures.
- Review financial reports and ensure consistent reporting in collaboration with Organization’s Administration and Finance Department.
- Present and explain donor guidelines and procedures to the staff of the Administration and Finance Department of the Organization.
Creating New Partnerships and Assisting The Organization In Developing A Resource Mobilization Strategy
- Finding, identifying, promoting, providing and collecting revenue for the Organization.
- Identify areas of collaborative work, based on Organization strategic objectives and donor priorities.
- Build partnerships, prepare agreements and monitor their implementation.
- Ensure close collaboration with other Organization staff and teams.
- Represent the organization at special program meetings and policy discussions related to gender equality.
- Identify best practice examples, lessons learned to guide planning improvements.
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the Trustee.
Requirements
Work Experience
- At least 5 years of work experience in development outside government institutions (for Master's degree). 7-9 years of experience for a bachelor's degree holder.
Educational Level
- Hold at least a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in: Human Development, Gender, Public Policy (State), International Relations, Social Sciences or any other similar technical field.
Languages
- Fluent in Kurdish, Arabic and English (speaking and writing).
