mselect is looking to hire an Operations Manager for a logistics client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English, Arabic and Kurdish is a must.

Job Objective:
To play a vital role in guaranteeing the seamless and effective operation of diverse processes throughout the organization.


Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with senior management to set organizational goals and objectives
Logistics Management:
  • Oversee the entire logistics process, from procurement to delivery
  • Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and warehouses to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Inventory Management:
  • Implement inventory control measures to avoid overstock or stockouts
  • Monitor inventory levels and make data-driven decisions to optimize stock
Quality Control:
  • Establish and enforce quality control standards for goods and services
  • Implement measures to identify and resolve any quality issues
Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of operations staff
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
Technology Integration:
  • Implement and leverage technology solutions for improved tracking and visibility
  • Explore and adopt new technologies that enhance operational efficiency
Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans
  • Monitor external factors such as regulatory changes and economic trends that may impact operations
Cost Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets for operational expenses
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or efficiency
Customer Service:
  • Work closely with customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or issues related to operations
Continuous Improvement:
  • Regularly review and analyze operational processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Implement changes to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and update processes accordingly
  • Generate and analyze reports on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Present regular updates to senior management on the performance of logistics operations

  • Minimum of 8 years in operation management within the logistics and shipping industry
  • Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of the logistics industry
  • Additionally, staying updated on industry trends and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement
