mselect is looking to hire a Data Management Officer for an international oil and gas operator in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience supervising data management processes. Fluency in English and Kurdish is a must.

JOB PURPOSE
Oversee the development and use of data systems. Discover and put in place efficient ways to organize, store and analyse data with attention to transparency and collaborative working methods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Roll out the company DMS system and do continuous development of the solution

  • Sources technical documents, information and drawings

  • Create and enforce policies for effective data management

  • Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data

  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects

  • Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with upper management, external stakeholders

  • Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards

  • Assist with reports and data extraction when needed

  • Monitor and analyse information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc)


REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Master's in data management or similar preferred
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Applicants should have proven Data Management experience to apply for this position

  • Good communication and inter-personal skills

  • Team player

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience supervising data management processes (mandatory)

  • Experience implementing DMS systems or data management solutions (mandatory)

  • Data management leadership experience (preferably)

  • Good understanding of the technical domain within Oil & Gas Industry

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project

  • Strong analytical skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to travel and work in the field facilities if needed

  • Meeting deadlines, possess decisiveness in document control management, and detailed orientated Have excellent organisational and communication skills
