mselect is looking to hire a Construction Supervisor for an international oil and gas operator in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience within civil engineering and construction in Kurdistan. Fluency in English, Arabic and Kurdish is a must.

Job Objective
As Construction Supervisor, you will provide on-site leadership, supervision, and overall coordination of civil construction activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall coordination and site supervision of civil construction activities to ensure compliance with the scope of work, HSE, and QA/QC requirements
  • HSE compliance includes: JSA’s (Job Safety Analysis) before critical tasks and ensuring the steps are executed according to plan; Hazard Identification Plan – follow up on action items; Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings; Perform vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Complete various reports, including POBs and Progress Reports
  • Liaise with HSE, CSR, Drilling, Security and Supply Chain
  • Liaise with and coordinate survey activity
  • Liaise with Local authorities in areas of work activity
  • May be required to assist with physical activities – loading/offloading trucks, delivering materials, and possibly demonstrating the correct method of work activity to crews
  • Other duties may be requested by the client from time to time

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in civil engineering and construction in Kurdistan
  • Software Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Microsoft Project, GoCanvas
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written, with good presentation and report writing skills
  • Ability to priorities and plan workloads and meet competing deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment of an international junior oil and gas company
  • Demonstrated record of diligence and attention to detail, working with very high standards both personally and technically
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs with innovative solutions
  • Self-motivated with a high level of enthusiasm and energy, coupled with a strong work ethic and genuine pride in work
  • Must commit to the vision, mission and management philosophy that supports dignity and respect throughout the organization
