mselect is looking to hire a Branch Manager for an automotive client in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within the automotive industry. Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic is a must.

JOB SUMMARY
The branch manager will oversee the daily operations of client, ensuring smooth functioning and profitability. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong sales background, exceptional staff management skills, and expertise in marketing, public relations, and government relations. The ideal candidate will drive sales, maintain high customer satisfaction, and foster a productive and positive work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Management:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed showroom targets
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders
Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor showroom staff to ensure high performance and job satisfaction
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Create and maintain a positive and motivating work environment
  • Resolve staff issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner
Marketing & Public Relations:
  • Planned and executed marketing campaigns to promote the showroom and its products
  • Develop and maintain a strong brand presence through various channels, including social media
  • Organize and participate in promotional events and trade shows
  • Build and maintain relationships with media representatives and key industry influencers
Government Relations:
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and policies affecting the automotive industry
  • Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance
  • Represent the showroom in meetings with government officials and industry associations
Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure the showroom is well maintained and presents a professional image to customers
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimising shrinkage
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient operations
  • Manage the showroom budget, controlling expenses to maximise profitability
Work Environment:
  • Standard office and showroom environment
  • It may require weekend and evening work to meet customer needs and showroom targets
  • The primary place of work is Sulaymaniyah and will require regular business travel

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a sales leadership role, preferably within the automotive industry. Experience in staff management, marketing, and public/government relations is essential
  • Communication: Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic is a must
