Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Prepare and maintain baseline schedules, progress updates, and recovery plans
- Support execution strategy development based on site progress
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment with the project timeline
- Monitor project milestones and report on critical paths and schedule deviations
- Perform resource and cost loading into schedules for better planning and control
- Collect daily progress reports (DPR) from site engineers and validate with actual progress
- Identify critical delays and suggest recovery plans in coordination with construction leads
- Update S-curves, progress charts, and dashboards for internal review
- Coordinate with QC, procurement, and construction teams for forecast adjustments
- Collect and record efficiency reports of welders, fabricators, and technicians; maintain a master tracking sheet
- Prepare and present weekly progress reports to management and clients
- Maintain and update project cost control sheets, budget forecasts, and actual expenditure
- Participate in weekly project review meetings and provide insights on schedule/cost performance
- Monitor and support earned value management (EVM)
- Support planning of shutdown activities and assist in resource allocation and tracking
- Generate look-ahead schedules (1-week, 2-week, 4-week plans)
- Support risk identification and propose mitigation strategies
- Administer change control processes and assess impacts on cost/schedule
- Ensure documentation and traceability of changes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field
- Minimum 4-5 years of field experience in piping, steel structures, mechanical equipment erection, plant shutdowns, etc
- Experience working with EPC companies is preferred
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (Mandatory), MS Excel, and planning tools
