Job Purpose
This is a large initiative aimed at reforming the utility sector and significantly improving quality of service for millions of customers. The project carries a strong public perception and communications component and is being delivered at a rapid pace under tight deadlines. The contractor will work within a diverse team comprising both civil servants and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize Marcom spend and budget allocation
- Lead message crafting activities across Marcom channels
- Guide social media strategy development to drive audience growth and engagement
- Provide inputs on community management approaches
- Oversee content calendars and posting schedules and ensure consistent communication
- Monitor media channels and provide insights on audience sentiment and trends
- Support broader digital marketing and communication initiatives as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned messaging and branding
Requirements
- Education: BA degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Admin. or equivalent field
- 5+ years in marketing communications, including management of Marcom budgets
- Experience working in Iraq or Kurdistan, either for the government or private sector
- Proven experience in content planning, audience engagement
- Strong skills in message crafting and digital content strategy and planning
- IT skills: Proficient in social media management platforms, familiarity with content creation tools, and analytics (mainly Excel based), MS Office applications
- Language skills: English and Kurdish (beneficial)
