mselect is looking to hire an Export Director for a consultancy client in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of agricultural products, and expertise in international export promotion. Fluency in English and Kurdish is a must, Arabic is a plus.

Job Objective
The Export Director leads the EP department in support of achieving the organization’s mission to guide and support priority sectors to improve their export capabilities and to attract investments into Kurdistan’s exporting sectors. The Director will be responsible for supporting Kurdistan’s exporters by providing advise as well as access to financial and knowledge resources and trainings, creating and maintaining a network of international buyers and developing a coherent marketing brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the Export Promotion team
  • Support and advise exporters and exporting projects end-to-end
  • Design and provide trainings for exporters to increase capabilities and competitiveness
  • Create and provide access to export related manuals and guides
  • Build and maintain a network of overseas buyers and support exporters to showcase their products (e.g., delegation visits, product fairs)
  • Build a national brand for Kurdish products and run marketing campaigns
  • Provide and facilitate financing solutions for exporters


Main Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven management experience
  • Proven export development experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Fluent in Kurdish and English, Arabic is a plus
  • Master’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Agriculture, Public Administration, Economics, Business)
