mselect is looking to hire a Senior System Engineer – Power Platform Solution Developer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 9 years of progressive and directly related experience. Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize working knowledge of intersystem’s healthcare database, Caché ObjectScript and intersystem’s trakcare application for seamless systems operations
  • Apply experience in the .NET Framework to contribute to the development and enhancement of the system
  • Employ working knowledge of data extraction techniques and participate in report development to provide valuable insights
  • Familiarity with crystal reports is highly desired, as it plays a significant role in generating comprehensive and informative reports
  • Possess working knowledge of oracle database and MS SQL database, ensuring efficient data management and system functionality
  • Ability to check the cache script related to reports to fix issues reported by users on custom reports, automated tasks, extraction reports, etc, that were developed by our team
  • Log in to windows servers and install necessary applications, modify the registry key, and manage application services
  • Should be able to troubleshoot minor issues reported on custom development done in ASP.NET (VB, C#)
  • Ability to run queries in SQL and oracle databases to extract and update data
  • Should be able to create and modify crystal reports
  • Should be able to address application-related issues and enhancements raised/requested by the end-user department, by either providing workarounds or coordinating with the concerned parties (other ICT Teams) in fulfilling/addressing the requirement/issue respectively, including effective communication, providing remote access, and managing the change (patch, update or new implementation) as the application focal point

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related engineering/business field
  • Minimum 9 years of progressive and directly related experience
  • Strong knowledge of network, systems, desktop applications and databases
  • Ability to multitask and support changes
  • Expert in a remote technical support role
  • Problem solver with strong analytic skills
  • Effective communication
