Position Summary
Reporting to the Projects and Engineering Manager the Senior Project Engineer will:
- Provide technical leadership for assigned projects within the Projects and Engineering Team
- Responsible for the planning, co-ordination, and overall execution (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning) of select Facilities Projects as directed by the Projects and Engineering Manager
- Supports the P&E team as required with Mechanical Engineering Tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Technical focal point on assigned projects, through all phases of project execution
- Support the Project Manager and or the Projects and Engineering Manager in all aspects of project execution
- Supports the team with development of required technical documentation for project and departmental use
- Supports the P&E Team as required with Mechanical Engineering Tasks, both project specific and departmental in nature
- Leads the development of project scopes of work
- Manages select projects through all phases including concept definition and development, detailed engineering, implementation (Construction and Commissioning) and close-out
- Leads the development of project cost estimates and project schedules
- Develops and manages budgets for all allocated projects
- Manage external engineering resources to complete allocated project scope
- Coordinate with internal engineering personnel to deliver allocated project scope
- Liaise and communicate with internal project stakeholders as required to ensure effective input into designs
- Coordinate with internal contracts, procurement and supply chain resources to implement service contracts and purchase materials required to deliver the project
- Coordinate and liaise with the site construction team to support the effective management of the construction scope for the project
- Work with the internal engineering, operations and construction teams to develop commissioning and handover plans
- Effectively manage project and technical change
- Train and mentor local staff as required
- Able to work effectively as part of a team but also to work on own initiative and taking a proactive approach

- Able to work with several simultaneous activities, prioritizing as necessary

Requirements
1. Education and Qualifications Expected/Required:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree/diploma
- Member of an internationally recognized Professional Engineering Association
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Project Engineering role with extensive onshore oil & gas project experience with an E&P Operator
- Previous project experience in the Middle East is essential. Experience in Kurdistan the region of Iraq would be considered a bonus
