Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support in civil/structural and maintenance aspects throughout all stages of the project
- Verify and review technical designs, documents, and bids in accordance with approved standards and to meet operations, maintenance, asset and pipeline Integrity and HSE requirements
- Check and review all project drawings and documents (civil, structural, specifications and proposed materials) submitted by others in accordance with the project specifications
- Plan and coordinate between operations, maintenance and asset integrity teams to ensure project requirements are met and aligned
- Identifies potential hazards during commissioning activities, participates in technical meetings, pre-start-up safety audits, raises punch lists and provides support to operations and maintenance teams in various stages of project activities
- Coordinate with engineering, project execution departments and operations & maintenance teams during projects’ FEED and EPIC stages to align operations and maintenance, asset integrity and HSE requirements
- Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders and resolve relevant technical issues and punch lists during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages till the projects are successfully commissioned and handed over
- Support the lead engineer or supervisor to ensure that all applicable environmental, process and safety technical policies are fully integrated and implemented
- Ensure that operational excellence (OE) is incorporated in daily activities/all activities & full involvement of all staff
- Supports the development of the local team through training, mentoring, and capability-building initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in Structural Design & Construction, preferably in the Oil and Gas environment or similar industrial environment, including at least 6 years’ experience at Supervisory level; Some experience and knowledge of general environmental engineering and quantity surveying is required
- Experience in reviewing tenders, compiling estimates, overseeing contractors and supervising staff and labour is required
- Excellent knowledge of engineering and structural design experience
- A Professional Engineer registered with a reputable international Professional Engineering Institution will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of construction activities and project management
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- Computer literate in mainstream Office products, have had exposure to online management, document and maintenance systems, including SAP
- Demonstrates strong skills and knowledge of international and industry standards relevant to the area of expertise
- Experience in operations, maintenance and projects’ pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities
- Possess good communication and presentation skills and fluent in the English language
