Key Responsibilities
- To coordinate and execute offshore and subsea logistics planning, control and management related to logistics, marine inspection, mobilization, and installation activities for various offshore projects within the group
- Acts as the focal point within projects for interface coordination between various working groups, internal departments, stakeholders, joint venture entities, and other project teams
- Assists the head of commissioning and logistics in executing assigned activities as required
- Provides technical evaluation of marine vessels proposed by contractors to ensure the marine spread complies with requirements and is suitable for the intended scope of work
- Coordinates with the project’s offshore installation contractor for the necessary inspections and ensures readiness for timely mobilization according to the project execution plan
- Supports the head of commissioning, the head of construction and the project team in providing technical evaluation for the proposed offshore marine support vessels during the bidding stage
- Organize and manage project logistics, back charges, and coordinate with the project manager, the cost department, and the contract department to facilitate the closure of the process
- Coordinates with marine, HSE, and relevant technical teams to obtain initial approval and conduct inspections of contractor-proposed marine spreads, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and marine regulations
- Follows up with contractors to ensure the timely close-out of initial inspection punch items and coordinates with marine and safety teams for verification and preliminary closure
- Organizes final or follow-up inspections to confirm that all identified punch items are satisfactorily closed before offshore mobilization
- Ensure that the project manager, head of projects, head of construction, head of commissioning and senior project engineers are fully informed on all execution related issues and provide recommendations for resolutions
- To act as the main focal point for all offshore execution related communications to ensure that clear directives and responsibilities are identified and integrated into the offshore activities of the respective project technical and construction teams
- Participate in the review of the project scope of works related to offshore logistics activities and provide inputs during the FEED and bid evaluation stage
- Coordinate offshore survey and related activities and access marine requirements
Requirements
- BSc (or) Higher National Diploma and/or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognised University; Certification in Nautical Science (maritime), Marine Logistics, offshore and Port Operations will be an added advantage
- Minimum of eight to ten (8–10) years’ experience in offshore capital projects, logistics management, and coordination
- Excellent team building, coordination and team player capabilities
- Ability to supervise multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce
- Good IT and analytical skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
