mselect is looking to hire a Development Programs & Report Writing Expert for an international development consultancy in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience working with NGOs, development organisations, or financial institutions on international development projects in Iraq or Kurdistan. Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic is a must.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate with program management and technical teams’ analysis of issues and design of program activities
  • Take responsibility in drafting work plans, progress and annual reports, program presentations and client interactions in Iraq and Kurdistan
  • Prepare annotated outlines for the reports, organize discussions with the team and client, and facilitate inputs of all involved
  • Draft reports and manage inputs of all and ensure it contributes to the vision set for that specific report
  • Include photos and maps to enhance and support reporting narrative
  • Design graphics to enhance and support reporting narrative
  • Work with the program technical teams to gain understanding of the program activities, project and grant development, and processes
  • Obtain relevant, current, accurate, and technically sound information to shape activities and delivery of materials
  • Evaluate the progress of project activities and prepare monitoring reports (set deliverables and output in the projected timeframe vs. achieved milestones)
  • Analyze business structures, procedures, processes, and utilization of resources and participate effectively in the development and implementation of management plans and job knowledge transfer
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of international development, economics, environmental management, business management or any related field (Graduate of USA, Canada, UK, or European Universities)
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in international development in Iraq or Kurdistan with NGOs, development agencies of financing institutions
  • Fluency in English is required – communication in Kurdish and Arabic is required and writing skills is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) design and development of schematic diagrams and outstanding production
  • Experience working with international NGOs and donors in the MENA Region
  • Knowledge of development assistance programs and organizations
  • Excellent organizational and editing skills
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently and with diverse teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
