Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our Baghdad office. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in sales or business development, ideally within a recruitment/staffing agency or a relevant industry such as technology, oil & gas, or telecoms. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and helping to grow mselect’s footprint in Iraq.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key sectors
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders
- Understand client requirements and tailor solutions that meet their workforce needs
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals
- Collaborate with the recruitment and operations teams to ensure successful service delivery
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and report on sales activities and results
- Attend industry events, networking sessions, and client meetings
- Support marketing efforts to increase brand awareness in the local market
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 2-5 years of sales or business development experience, ideally within a staffing/recruitment agency or in the technology, oil & gas, or telecoms sector
- Strong understanding of B2B sales, client acquisition, and proposal development
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in Arabic and proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools such as HubSpot
- Must be based in Baghdad or willing to relocate
