mselect is looking to hire a Business Development Advisor in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have 2-5 years of sales or business development experience, ideally within a staffing/recruitment agency or in the technology, oil & gas, or telecoms sector. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our Baghdad office. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in sales or business development, ideally within a recruitment/staffing agency or a relevant industry such as technology, oil & gas, or telecoms. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and helping to grow mselect’s footprint in Iraq.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key sectors

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders

  • Understand client requirements and tailor solutions that meet their workforce needs

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals

  • Collaborate with the recruitment and operations teams to ensure successful service delivery

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and report on sales activities and results

  • Attend industry events, networking sessions, and client meetings

  • Support marketing efforts to increase brand awareness in the local market


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • Minimum 2-5 years of sales or business development experience, ideally within a staffing/recruitment agency or in the technology, oil & gas, or telecoms sector

  • Strong understanding of B2B sales, client acquisition, and proposal development

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Fluent in Arabic and proficient in English (spoken and written)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools such as HubSpot

  • Must be based in Baghdad or willing to relocate
