mselect is looking to hire a Spare Parts Storekeeper for an industrial and distribution group in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English and Arabic.

ROLE PURPOSE
Managing the day to day operation of the spare parts store that involve  activities such as compiling information, records, inventory, purchasing, receiving, issuing of materials, spare parts, equipment’s, and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Material Management
  • Review requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications
  • To draw up purchase orders for procurement of materials and services and check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and the goods meet specifications
  • Compile, review data from contracts, purchase orders, purchase requisitions and other documents in order to assess supply needs
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities
Spare Parts Inventory
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer with approved stock management software. Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or co-workers, based on information from incoming requisitions
  • Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer forms for bookkeeping purposes Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
  • Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock
Procurement
  • Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems. Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
  • Maintain knowledge of all organizational and governmental rules affecting purchases and provide information about these rules to organization staff members and to vendors
Health & Safety Housekeeping
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Multitasking responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility of old spare part store inventory control and physical organizing of these parts
  • Prepare AutoCAD drawings (mainly 2d lay-outs and isometric views) for CAPEX expenditures of modifications as and when requested.
  • Assist Planning department to check and ensure availability of parts for PM services and other planned maintenance work on daily and weekly basis
  •  Assist Planner to drive the house keeping improvement action plan and to get these tasks completed on time.
  • Assist with weekly maintenance reports when one of the maintenance Schedulers is on vacation
  • Support oversees Aujan Plant (Iraq) for any fabrication related requirement

Qualification, Experience and Skills
  • Knowledge of Engineering Store Management.
  • BA degree – Mechanical or Electrical engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the same role from any manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Computer Software (Microsoft Office) and CMMS
