Job Purpose
To deliver the electrical scope of projects, ensuring alignment with design, procurement, and delivery schedules.
This role involves producing Electrical Engineering designs including but not limited to:
- Load Schedules
- Single Line Diagrams
- Control Schematics
- Plot Plans indicating Electrical Equipment
- Cable and Ladder Rack/Tray Routing Drawings
- Cable Sizing Calculations
- Cable Schedules
- Bills of Materials
- Complete detailed work packs that allow the Construction Department to install the works
- Inspection and Test Records
- Mechanical Completion Certificates
- Pre-commissioning Records
- LV Switchgear
- Transformers
- AC & DC UPS
- LV Motors
- Cables
- Prepare ITT packs for electrical equipment and services
- Provide technical support to Construction and Operations teams
- Mentor junior engineers
Key Responsibilities
- HSSE Compliance: Ensure that engineering and construction contractors adhere to the Companyโs Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards on all projects
- Timely Engineering Deliverables: Deliver engineering outputs in a timely manner to meet project deadlines
- Procurement Progress: Advance procurement activities in alignment with the project schedule
- Equipment Testing: Ensure that fully tested equipment is delivered to the site
- Quality Maintenance: Maintain the required quality standards throughout the project execution
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering
- Strong understanding of Electrical Engineering theories and their practical applications
- Proficiency in Electronic Modelling of Electrical Networks
- Proficiency in Short Circuit Analysis
- Proficiency in Load Flow Analysis
- Proficiency in Harmonic Analysis
- Proficiency in Motor Starting Studies
- Proficiency in Hazardous Area Engineering (EI15 and IEC60079)
- Proficiency in Site Construction Practices
- Familiarity with AutoCAD drafting software and IEC standards
- Experience with petrochemical installations is a plus
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Strong team player with the ability to work with diverse backgrounds
- Willingness to develop skills through on-the-job training
- Self-starter with a strong desire to achieve superior results
- Excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills
