mselect is looking to hire a Finance Lead for an Industrial client in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic is a must.

JOB PURPOSE
Finance Lead will manage Accounting, Treasury and Tax teams to analyse day-day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to the team to meet monthly and yearly closing objectives following internal and external audit requirements. The goal is to enable the team to follow, apply and Implement Iraqi Tax and accounting Standards within daily business transactions to meet the company’s objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Arrange and implement Tax planning procedure to meet local tax regulations.

  • Advise accounting team to implement operational best practices and provide strategies that the company should take

  • Participate in key decisions as a member Finance management team

  • Follow CBI regulations and Lead Treasury aspects and bank management

  • Maintain relations with external auditors then investigate their findings and recommendations to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained

  • Associate with Sales and Purchasing Teams in determining financial impact on company working capital, from both payable, receival and Cash Management perspectives

  • Prepare periodic financial reports to update Finance Director on results

  • Monitor & analyse financial figures contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the key business metrics

  • Supervise operations of the department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor/master's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required Knowledge of manufacturing, cement, concrete, and related construction materials

  • Over 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment Understanding of the cement manufacturing process is a plus

  • Experience with financial applications like SAP, Microsoft, or Oracle ERPs

  • Strong technical accounting skills

  • General knowledge of construction, A&C products, and market opportunities

  • Excellent sales/customer service skills and a strong focus on customer needs

  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle complex data sheets

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work remotely and as part of a team

  • Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic is a must
