mselect is hiring an Accountant for a construction client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English and Kurdish.

The primary objective of this role is to register data in Al-Aseel systems, ensuring compliance with legal and tax obligations the incumbent will oversee financial and payment/collection processes in accordance with legal regulations and company procedures.

  • Prepare business activity reports, financial statements, and forecasts
  • Develop financial reporting systems
  • Analyse market trends to identify business opportunities and maximize profits
  • Prepare official and managerial reports to ensure effective control of global logistics operations
  • Aid management in financial decisions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial systems
  • Track declaration submission processes to ensure accurate accounting
  • Prepare periodic VAT and Sales Tax Declarations
  • Direct financial planning and strategy
  • Analyse and report on financial performance
  • Oversee audit and tax functions
  • Develop and implement accounting policies
  • Prepare forecasts and comprehensive budgets

  • Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3-5 years in financial role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Language Requirement: Fluency in English and Kurdish.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and business administration.
  • Proficiency in financial management duties including data generation, report compilation, and analysis of industry trends.
  • Oversight of finance department operations and development.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Knowledge of software packages.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in responsibilities.
