mselect is looking to hire a Warehouse Supervisor for an international oil and gas operator in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years in warehouse operations and project materials management. Fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic is a must.

Job Summary
The role supports all departments in managing project and operations materials by ensuring accurate receiving, issuing, and returning procedures are consistently followed. Responsibilities also include overseeing warehouse operations, managing inventory and assets, handling the disposal of goods, and coordinating local logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervises the receipt of all materials and equipment, especially project materials, ensuring all procedures are properly followed and that goods are thoroughly inspected and logged
  • Conducts detailed inspections of incoming materials, ensuring they meet the required specifications and comply with established guidelines before acceptance
  • Accurately files and records receiving documentation, both physically and electronically, in accordance with internal procedures
  • Issues materials according to Work Orders in materials management software such as “HolisTech”, ensuring all movements are fully tracked and properly documented for accountability
  • Oversees the return of field materials, ensuring that all returned items are properly documented and recorded
  • Utilizes materials management software (such P-SRP) for accurate data entry, generates Goods Received Notes (GRNs) in P-SRP, processes Book In/Book Out, Goods Transfer Notes, and Dispatch Notes in materials management software Updates inventory records daily
  • Understands and applies vendor storage recommendations as applicable
  • Maintains accurate, consistent material descriptions in the system, ensuring proper identification and traceability
  • Conducts inventory audits, investigates discrepancies, identifies root causes, and implements corrective actions
  • Uses the procurement module to track requisition status and access key documentation such as packing lists and correspondence
  • Ensures all relevant documentation is updated daily and organized in the shared drive, including folder creation and OS&D report filing
  • Arranges and tracks local material transportation and logistics between Erbil and company sites, ensuring all service requests are captured in P-SRP and cost-effective logistics are applied
  • Supervises warehouse team members to ensure warehouse operations and materials handling are carried out in accordance with established procedures and standards
  • Works closely with contractors providing warehouse-related services (e.g. warehouse rental, transport, forklifts), ensuring performance aligns with agreements, and reports or resolves any service failures or poor performance with the Contracts department and relevant contractor
  • Communicate ``professionally with all parties following all IT and communication protocols
  • Leads daily toolbox talks and prepares TRA (Task Risk Analysis) documentation, ensuring records are maintained and filed
  • Promptly reports any HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) incidents to his line manager
  • Ensures full compliance with safety requirements, promoting and prioritizing a strong safety culture

Requirements

Experience:
  • Minimum of seven (7) years in warehouse operations and projects materials management
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to adapt to changing conditions and resolve issues promptly
  • Proven experience in leading and supervising teams, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to warehouse and safety protocols
  • Ability to motivate and support team members to meet operational goals and maintain a high level of productivity
Skills and knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge and technical understanding of project materials, MTOs, and isometrics
  • Strong background in materials and logistics management, within oil & gas or drilling operations
  • Familiarity with materials management software such as procurement systems
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with vendors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Physical Requirements:
The Warehouse Supervisor will primarily work in a warehouse office setting but must be able to handle occasional warehouse duties. This includes lifting and carrying materials, walking, standing, and bending when inspecting or managing inventory. The role also involves operating warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks as needed. The candidate should be comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions, such as temperature changes, dust, and noise, and should have good manual dexterity for handling materials and equipment.
