Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical design and engineering services in technical HSE engineering for all assigned projects, ensuring work meets technical quality standards in accordance with procedures while considering quality, schedule, cost, and HSE requirements
- Conduct technical HSE engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition phase through to Engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning
- Ensures that required technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental policies, and safety procedures are incorporated and followed in all work scopes and during technical HSE engineering activities; Reviews technical deviations and variations against approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices
- Supports the engineering department in reviewing, updating, and applying internal standards and amendments to external standards
- Plan and coordinate the activities of a team of multidisciplinary engineers to provide timely delivery of technical services to meet the project requirements
- Coordinate engineering designs, develop and review multi-disciplinary work-scopes for projects and other engineering activities; Ensure the work-scope is comprehensive and clear
- Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organisations for scope compliance. Liaise with contracted organisations to resolve technical issues
- Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities and ensure effective project delivery
- Conduct an evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance
- Review and evaluate the contract changes/variations to the approved guidelines and practices
- Supports the development of personal technical competencies and those of co-workers and participates in structured training programs for associate engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; Chartered/Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry
- Ability to identify and utilise relevant engineering standards and Codes related to Technical HSE Engineering
- Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple-project environment
- Fluency in the English language, with good verbal and writing communication skills, and proficiency in conducting presentations
