Job objective
Contribute to achieving the company's sales objectives in the Iraqi market by developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales team, and fostering relationships with key customers and partners.
Key Accountabilities
Managing and expanding relationships with major clients. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Identify new business opportunities within existing and potential key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Iraqi market
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients and distributors
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and trade terms with customers
- Expand the company’s presence in modern trade, food service, and traditional trade channels
- Drive brand awareness through trade promotions, exhibitions, and partnerships
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets in Iraq
- Monitor sales performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Ensure the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue targets
- Participate in forecasting, stock allocation, and inventory planning
- Conduct market visits and audits to assess sales execution and brand presence
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to position our products effectively
- Provide monthly reports on revenue, market share, and client retention
- Track sales performance, client feedback, and inventory needs using CRM tools
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy cash flow
- Work closely with the finance department to resolve receivable account issues
- Monitor outstanding balances and address overdue accounts proactively
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Gather and analyse customer feedback to enhance service levels
- Collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs and concerns
- Develop strategies to improve customer retention and loyalty
- Ensure product availability and optimal stock levels in the region
- Monitor and evaluate sales team performance, providing coaching and feedback
- Implement company policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct market visits and audits to assess sales execution and brand presence
- Prepare and submit reports on sales performance, market trends, and competition
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align sales strategies with company objectives
- Maintain proper documentation and records for sales activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the FMCG sector, frozen category
- Proven experience in B2B food sales, preferably in Iraq/MENA
- Knowledge of the Iraq market is essential
- Understanding of food industry regulations and logistics in Iraq
- Persuasive negotiator, problem-solver, and culturally savvy
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- SAP, Microsoft
- Languages: fluency in English is required, Arabic, Kurdish is plus
- Valid Iraqi driving license
