mselect is looking to hire an experienced Quotation Specialist for a leading logistics client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must possess 3-5 years of relevant experience and fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic.

Job Objective
As a Cargo Quotation Desk Specialist, you will play a vital role in our team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely quotations, managing inquiries, and facilitating bookings for cargo transportation services. This position requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Integral to our success, you will provide accurate pricing solutions, ensuring compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities

Quotation Management:
  • Generate accurate and competitive quotations based on customer requirements, market conditions, and company pricing strategies
  • Analyze freight rates, tariffs, and other relevant factors to determine pricing structures and ensure profitability
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics to adapt pricing strategies accordingly
Customer Interaction:
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, requests for quotations, and pricing-related issues via various communication channels
  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service, addressing concerns, and offering tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with sales representatives and account managers to understand customer requirements and preferences
Coordination and Collaboration:
  • Liaise with internal departments such as operations, finance, and logistics to coordinate cargo bookings, ensure regulatory compliance, and resolve pricing discrepancies
  • Effectively communicate with external stakeholders including carriers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to negotiate rates, confirm bookings, and resolve issues impacting cargo transportation
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Compile and analyze data related to quotation requests, booking trends, and pricing strategies to identify optimization opportunities
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations detailing key performance indicators, pricing trends, and customer feedback to support decision-making processes and strategic planning
Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies governing cargo transportation, pricing practices, and contractual agreements
  • Maintain accurate records of quotations, contracts, and pricing agreements, and ensure timely completion of documentation for billing and invoicing purposes

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 3-5 experience in cargo operations, freight forwarding, or logistics, with a strong understanding of pricing methodologies and industry practices
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in pricing software, spreadsheets, and other analytical tools
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures is preferred
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
