Job Purpose
The job holder's mission during the Execution phase is as follows:
- HSE as per the client standards
- Management and follow-up daily of the piping activities construction execution by the GPP EPC contractor in coordination with the Construction Lead area and the Construction Manager
- Ensure the GPP contractor executes the piping scope as per the GPP contract
- Identify any deviation and propose a correction
- Liaising with the GPP supervision team to ensure progress execution, quality and HSE on site
Key Activities
- Coordinate with site personnel and liaise daily with the Company Site Superintendent
- Participate in pre-job planning, coordination and PTW meetings
- Pro-active in site works preparation: Procedures, Job cards, Method of statement, Rigging Plan, permit to work, etc
- Supervise site construction activities, meeting quality and safety requirements
- Participate in the elaboration of the 5 Weeks Look ahead Planning and liaise with the Site Superintendent
- Ensure that the final documentation is updated to reflect the site conditions
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers, designers, and suppliers, to resolve any construction-related issues, attend technical survey requests and ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure that the selected contractor follows through with the works, both in their premises for pre-fabrication and on-site during construction
- Supervise and mentor construction personnel, ensuring productivity and adherence to the project timeline
- Prepare, plan, coordinate and supervise operations in line with the site superintendent
- Ensure good coordination and manage all interfaces with other disciplines and the various entities involved in the project
- Check the technical information provided by the Contractor and its consistency
- Anticipate supplies for the smooth running of the site
- Anticipate all potential problems, propose, if necessary, alternative "practical" solutions
- Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensure mark-up documentation reflects the site condition, report on the punch list and follow up for completion, and formalize the handover dossier to FOPS
- Establish the daily report (progress of work, number of people, highlights, etc.)
- Validate and follow the scheduled work for his perimeter and ensure tracking
- Support/Substitute the Contractor when it becomes essential for the success of the Project
- Maintain good relationships with contractors, displaying flexibility when needed, while also enforcing necessary standards
Requirements
- Mechanical degree in engineering, construction, or a related field
- Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry with significant experience in construction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Ability to work under SIMOPS work conditions
- Excellent knowledge of the English language (Oral and written)
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment
