mselect is looking to hire a Marketing Officer for an industrial client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have 3–5 years of marketing experience, preferably within trading, distribution, or commercial sectors. Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic is a must.

Job Summary
The marketing officer is responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring marketing strategies to support the company’s trading operations. This role involves market research, branding activities, customer communication, product promotion, and coordination with related business units and customers to enhance the company’s market presence and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, target customers, competitors, and new business opportunities
  • Analyse market data, pricing, and demand to support sales and procurement decisions
  • Track market trends and prepare regular market intelligence reports
  • Support the development of annual marketing plans aligned with company objectives
  • Assist in planning and executing marketing and promotional campaigns
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities
  • Maintain and strengthen the company’s brand across all channels
  • Prepare and manage marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and catalogues
  • Manage corporate communications
  • Coordinate with business unit teams to support customer acquisition and retention
  • Support client meetings, exhibitions, and business events as required
  • Maintain customer databases and ensure timely communication
  • Work closely with internal teams to align marketing activities
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly marketing performance reports
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line manager

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, background in infrastructure projects, and Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of marketing experience, preferably in trading, distribution, or commercial sectors
  • Strong understanding of market research tools and marketing analytics
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Arabic, and Kurdish; additional languages are a plus
  • Skilled in MS Office packages; familiarity with other software is advantageous
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast?paced environment
