Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating the planning and delivery of the Landscaping Annual Maintenance Plan with the Facilities Management Service Provider (FMS) and its Subcontractors in compliance with industry and OEM standards
- Responsible for reviewing training standards for all FMS Landscaping services staff and providing feedback against industry best practice
- Responsible for the implementation of the PMS Procedure, including observations/NCRs, to ensure the FMS is complying with contractual deliverables, SLA, and health, safety and environmental standards, to ensure a continual improvement process is fully embedded
Contract Scope of Works Requirements
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on managing their landscaped and agricultural areas. Understand the client's specific needs, goals, and constraints, and suggest suitable strategies and solutions
- Assess the overall condition and quality of the landscape, including plants, trees, turf, irrigation systems, and hardscapes
- Develop and implement sustainable landscape maintenance plans that optimize aesthetics, functionality, and cost-effectiveness, while considering environmental factors
- Advise clients on sustainable and eco-friendly practices to enhance the landscape's health and reduce environmental impact. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations relating to pesticide use and environmental protection
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors providing landscape maintenance services
- Oversee their performance, ensure adherence to agreed-upon standards, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for facility staff on landscape management practices, pest identification, prevention, and control methods
- Develop educational materials such as guides, manuals, and informational brochures
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the quality and effectiveness of landscape services
- Identify deficiencies or areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technology advancements, regulations, and best practices in landscape management
- Conduct research and collaborate with other experts to enhance knowledge and expertise
- Maintain accurate records of landscape operations, including maintenance schedules, pesticide usage, plant inventories, and service contracts
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for clients, detailing findings, recommendations, and progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or Landscaping
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in horticulture and landscaping
- ASHS (Australian Society of Horticultural Science) Certification or equivalent
- English proficiency: IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, or equivalent qualification
