mselect is hiring a Key Account Manager for an international oil and gas service client in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the oil and gas industry. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this Sales role is to drive the company's revenue growth and ensure the success of its sales initiatives, this is achieved by meeting and exceeding set sales targets through effective pipeline management and execution of key sales activities. The role requires a strong focus on identifying and nurturing leads, maintaining deep product knowledge to articulate compelling value propositions, and developing tailored sales proposals. It involves meticulous tracking and documentation of sales activities, nurturing relationships with customers and suppliers, and creating impactful sales materials. Additionally, the role demands staying abreast of market trends and competitors to identify new growth opportunities. This comprehensive approach ensures a continuous flow of sales opportunities, satisfaction and loyalty among clients and suppliers, and positions the company favourably in a competitive market.

Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed quarterly, semi-annual and annual sales targets/ Gross profit to in order to contribute to achieving forecasted sales target and overall success of the company.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline in order to ensure a continuous flow of sales opportunities.
  • Engage proactively with prospects to move them through the sales cycle, to ensure that the pipeline remains healthy and capable of delivering future revenue.
  • Identify and target the leads (potential customers) and engaging in key sales activities, including prospecting, client meetings, and networking events and utilize these activities to create compelling sales presentations and communicate product value to qualify their level of interest and determine their needs and requirements in order to generate interest in the company's products and build a pipeline of prospects and ensuring that opportunities are generated and advanced in alignment with market and client needs.
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge in order to articulate value propositions, advising clients on solutions that best meet their needs based on technical specifications and industry standards and address customer queries effectively.
  • Prepare sales proposals, quotations and pricing. This may involve collaborating with partners and logistics team to gather relevant information, conducting research on customer needs and requirements and follow up with customers to answer post tender clarifications or questions and address any concerns they may have about the proposal in order to meet the specific needs of each customer.
  • Maintain accurate records and document sales actions in the company’s CRM system in order to facilitate thorough reporting and effective performance evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and suppliers including conducting regular check-ins, provide them with updates and addressing any issues or concerns they may have to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop sales materials such as presentations, products demos, and case studies in order to effectively communicate the company's products and value proposition.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and new projects in order to identify new opportunities for growth.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferable
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus
  • Strong academic background with an emphasis on business strategy, communication, and marketing principles
  • Proficiency in the use of sales and CRM software
Work Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Technical experience in industrials materials
  • Iraq Market experience
  • Experience in developing and managing a sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals
  • Demonstrated ability in customer and supplier relationship management, and effective handling of client queries
  • Practical experience in creating and delivering sales presentations and materials
Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of sales principles and customer relationship management
  • Understanding of the industry the company operates in, including key trends, competitor strategies, and market dynamics
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis tools for sales tracking
Training and Certification:
  • Sales-related training such as professional sales courses or certifications
  • CRM software training, for instance, Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamic or HubSpot certifications
  • Ongoing professional development courses or workshops in sales strategies, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Any Sales Training and Certification is highly preferable
