Role Overview
A holding group is seeking to expand the number of businesses it invests in and supports and is therefore looking for a Senior Associate to join its investment and asset management team. The role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and supporting the next generation of businesses. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced investment environment and demonstrates a high level of autonomy, initiative, and independence. The position requires a humble, proactive individual who is deeply committed to the fund’s mission, the founders it supports, and the risks they undertake.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management & BD Responsibilities:
- Evaluating and driving key corporate decision-making with portfolio management frameworks and strategic initiatives (portfolio construction, allocations, dividends vs reinvestment decisions, exits, special projects)
- Developing and maintaining integrated corporate models that track monthly/quarterly cash flows, projections, actuals vs forecasts, etc. For both portfolio companies (subsidiaries) and the business
- Drive Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly dashboard reporting, outlining portfolio metrics and key performance indicators
- Support and encourage an inclusive planning process between our team and the portfolio companies
- Help lead the firm’s effort in identifying and evaluating new companies for investment. This includes identifying markets of interest, pursuing relationship building and sourcing companies within them, and creating market/industry-specific strategies that generate investments within our investment criteria
- Participate in all aspects of investment due diligence, including feasibility, market sizing, and industry research
- Attend meetings and support existing portfolio companies with introductions to potential hires, investors, and customers
- Build long-term relationships with founders and other investors relevant to our ecosystem of investments
- Design and execute projects and programs that help the firm attract new portfolio companies or support existing ones
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience, including experience at an investment firm or within a consulting environment

- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, or perform hypothetical portfolio analysis with reasonable assumptions, resulting in actionable strategies
- Team player who communicates on daily progress, roadblocks, alternative ideas, etc
- Produces creative, compelling, and detailed materials
- Strong interpersonal skills. You will be talking to entrepreneurs and other investors on our behalf, and actively working to build the business
- Extremely proactive and self-directed. You will have a lot of autonomy in this role
- Being extremely organised and hard-working. This is an exceedingly demanding role; we evaluate 100s of opportunities throughout the year and actively plan and manage many companies
- Candidate needs to multitask and execute a wide range of assignments, often under pressure to meet demanding deadlines
